I have been writing ‘Year In Review’ at Emergys for the last three years. With all the modesty, I can proudly say that this year, we have also pushed the envelope in the right direction and grown leaps and bounds. 2019 was the year where we put the total force on the accelerator, keeping the spirit of Emergys intact.

As we bid adieu to 2019, here are some of the highlights that made this one of the most memorable years for us:

Quality is not an act; it is a habit

In our endeavor to deliver the best of Big Data, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence, we have always strived to keep the degree of excellence above the industry standards. To take our quality endeavor to the next level, we have initiated some very focused efforts this year. We really want to inculcate quality as a habit. Leveraging our existing processes, I am happy to share that we have made tremendous progress. Our quality policy reflects what we want to achieve. Every Emergys has been contributing a lot!

Big Data Managed Services COE

Building on our robust Big data and Hadoop capabilities, we started providing 24x7x365 support to our customers. This included end-to-end support right from cloud platforms to Hadoop operations and data processing. We have taken over some large-scale big data operations from our client teams, letting them focus on managing their business.

Our Big Data managed service portfolio includes 20 clusters, 850 Nodes, and 2000+ hours of support per month.

Taking on complex business problems head-on with our Artificial Intelligence Capabilities

We implemented some exciting AI projects this year. By solving some complex and technically excruciating business problems, we have been able to help businesses to be more efficient. These solutions span automation, prediction, recommendation, fraud detection, and conversational AI. Our awesome AI team is looking forward to solving more complex business problems in 2020.

Pune Data Conference 2019

Our association with Pune Data Conference continues for the third consecutive year! Resonating with the solid work we have been doing in Data Science, therefore, this year our CEO Dr. Kuldeep Deshpande and our Senior Data Scientist, Saumitra Modak, delivered a session on ‘Making Data Science Work‘. This session became one of the major highlights of the Pune Data Conference. We were overwhelmed by the positive response and applauded it received. It was great to have initiated the conversation in the right direction. Also, Kuldeep was part of a very fruitful and illuminating panel discussion on BFSI at the conference.

Emergys Training Program For Freshers – 4th Batch Graduates

We developed this comprehensive training program for those who join Emergys as a fresher in 2017. In this training program, our senior team excels at training juniors by working with them and empowering them with all the industry wisdom. Our 4th fresher’s Batch graduated this year under this program. We celebrated this with a little ceremony by awarding and recognizing everyone’s efforts. By the way, guests for this ceremony are always the parents of one of the Emergys’s.

Strengthening The Armour

Since our inception, we have been laser-focused on creating a culture of training. We don’t just focus on helping Ellcians gain new skills but help them learn from war stories shared by industry leaders and veterans. This year, we had several training sessions focused on Data Science and Big Data. One of the highlights this year was a session on “Model selection and averaging using Akaike Information Criterion and Bayesian Information Criterion and related concepts” by Dr. William Romine from Wright State University.

We also added many courses on leading MOOC platforms for Emergys’s to access.

Sharing With the World

Moreover, As passionate techies, we have always believed in sharing gained wisdom and experience freely with the community. In 2019, we developed a comprehensive video series around ‘Making Data Science Work‘, where our data scientists shared their thoughts and methods to make data science projects successful. This 8 episode series was received well!

Empowering And Being Empowered

2019 was one of the most fulfilling years for us in terms of getting an opportunity to help businesses across verticals and geography with our Big Data, Data Science, and AI capabilities. We are proud that clients who supported us in our first year are still with us. This gave us the strength of the most significant degree! We are happy to let you know that we have added some leading organizations across the globe to our growing list of admirers. Our team understands and appreciates the opportunity bestowed upon us to solve some world-class problems. We feel empowered!

Grounded, Our Dream Run Continues!

What started as a dream of relentless techies 7 years back has become a relentless pursuit of all Emergys’s! Our team size will soon reach a three-digit number. All this feels like a dream! We are grateful to all of you who have supported us and cheered for the Emergys growth story. Our team hopes to continue solving the tech problems we are passionate about. We know one thing for sure: we can’t stop now, as it has become a more significant dream with all of you joining us!
